Student voice, curation, digital and media literacy, story-telling, research, book talks, and digital citizenship are vital components that we strive to integrate into our literacy classrooms and libraries. What if there were two technology tools that you could employ to tackle all of those things? What if they were easy not only for educators/staff to use but also for students/patrons? Meet the dynamic duo of Flipgrid and Wakelet! We will go over examples of how myself and others have used these tools, attendees will try them out as both students and teachers with guided tips, we will brainstorm ideas for use, and we will start creating a product or lesson that can be used right away! If you have already used one or both tools, you will walk away with more ideas for your toolbox!
